[IPOLY005] Mentalic – Late Nite Stories
Mentalic’s follow-up to “Highway Man” contains 4 tracks ranging from freak out slapstick Techno to more melodious pieces. It starts with “Frontrow Ticket”, a freaky funny jumptune showing Menty’s likings. No one less then Rico Puestel aka Dinamoe delivers the appendant remix – a huge groovy monster that beats the cones off your fir. “Last Cigarillo” finishes the vinyl part of the release. A smoky and husky mover for the early hours. As digital bonus comes grubby dirty “Double-D-Fender”… Another release proving that Ipoly is on the fast lane – even after the surprising success of IPOLY004.

[ETUI014] Alec Troniq – Cataract Four
With this album again, Alec Troniq shows his love for detailled composed sounds. His unconventional arrangements already rocked our world on Passengers (ETUI 008) and other releases on his Ipoly Label and on Microtonal (Chemnitz). The title track was supported by the Boogie Duo “2Hot” (Mario Meusel & Christian Schöbel). Guitars, banjos and a cajon worshipping Cataract Four the summer spirit and melt into a late summer hymn.
Nico Grubert (Zürich) gives this song his special signature, just as to his remixes for Lexy, Christian Fischer and others. He wraps it with atmosphere and a dry and pure beat foundation. Ladycow Boy is the minimal addition for all the partypeople that don’t want to go home in the morning.
